I'm gonna walk you through how to sync action items from Ping to Double. There is a little bit of setup, so I'm gonna explain it and then show you how it works. So you will, in Double, need to create custom sections

0:12

that is named Ping Assistant. So that way we can link action items directly from Ping to your client. So I'll show you how that works. First off, in the settings, you're gonna wanna make sure that you have your Double integration live so you can make sure it's connected here.

0:26

Once you have that, then you can go to any meeting,

0:29

and then you can go to,

0:32

for example, this meeting

0:35

here.

0:35

We'll do this one.

0:38

You can see these action items, and they to be synced to Double. When you sync to Double, it's gonna pop up with this field and it'll show you all clients with this matching email or any other of the participants.

0:50

So if you have multiple participants,

0:51

multiple clients could show up. Um, but when you click sync to Double, it's gonna verify that you wanna sync it to this client inside of double and you can select however many you want and then you press sync to client.

1:03

I wanna make sure that you see this though. Inside of double,

1:07

you need to have a custom task section named ping assistant.

1:11

So the way you create that is up here, you can press these three little dots, manage sections,

1:17

and then you can create a section here called ping assistant. It does need to be spelled like this with a space so that way we can match over to that as well. You can also go to the settings here and inside the section manager, you can create the new custom section here as well. I believe that can only be done by admin, so it will need to be someone with permissions to set up those custom sections.

1:36

If it's not set up,

1:38

then you can still sync over action items, but they will show up in your main task section here

1:44

and they'll show up with no section.

1:47

And typically, they might not even have a client attached to them, so you won't be able to see them.

1:51

Um, but if we go back to our clients, we go back to this client here, you can see Ping Assistant here, and then this is a task that was synced over. So if I go back to the Ping now,

2:02

inside of Ping, and I want to sync this over,

2:05

um, and I want to assign it to this person here,

2:09

and it's gonna be assigned. And then when I press sync to double, it'll pull it up, and now I can sync one client.

2:16

Now when I go back into double and I refresh the page here,

2:20

there should be two

2:22

action items here as well. So it depends on who they're assigned to as well and whether they're started or not. That should all match over.

2:30

Back inside ping, you can actually bulk sync as well. So if you wanna sync multiple at once, you can do that with this button here. So that's how you sync over, and that's how you make sure you have the correct setup inside of double.

Summary

Docker Davis demonstrates how to sync Ping meeting action items to Double. The key setup is a connected Double integration and a custom task section named exactly “Ping Assistant”; then users can select a client, sync one or more items, and have assignment and status reflected in Double.

  • Connect the Double integration in Ping settings.
  • Create a Double custom task section spelled “Ping Assistant” (with a space); an admin may need to do this.
  • In a meeting, choose “Sync to Double,” select the matching client or clients, and confirm “Sync to client.”
  • Without the custom section, tasks may land in the main section without a section or client association, making them hard to find.
  • Individual and bulk sync are supported; assignments and task status should carry over.
